Praying for those involved in cinema and theatre
We all enjoy the work of actors, actresses, directors, scriptwriters, artists, musicians and many others, on stage, in the cinema or on television, yet do we ever think of praying for them? Theatre and, most particularly, cinema and the media are the most powerful and influential institutions in the world today and are areas in which the Gospel must also be heard and lived. The Fraternity seeks to play its part in the renewal of culture chiefly through prayer and sacrifice. We would like to welcome you to join them in their mission of prayer and support. More....... |
The Fraternity of St Genesius was recently founded in response to the calls of the Servant of God, Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI for the members of the Church to participate in the renewal of culture as part of the New Evangelization. It is an approved spiritual association in the Catholic Church, in which its members commit themselves to praying for those involved in the theatrical and cinematic arts of which St Genesius of Rome is the patron.
